Vetiver is a San Francisco band led by versatile musician, DJ, and curator Andy Cabic. Since forming in 2002, the band has explored an expansive and melancholy folk rock sound over seven full-length albums, with their latest record Up On High coming out this past October. In addition to his long-standing work as the ringleader for Vetiver, Andy was a member of the beloved Bay Area group Tussle and is a lifelong music collector, a passion that has led to countless DJ gigs as well as serving as a co-curator on Light in the Attic's brilliant 2019 compilation titled Pacific Breeze: Japanese City Pop, AOR & Boogie 1976-1986. His exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World dives deep into his record collection for a dreamy, groovy, moody, and always engaging set of top-notch tunes that span a wide range of styles, touching upon samba, boogie, funk, krautrock, IDM, jazz, ambient, downtempo, and everything in between.
