Over a year after New York postpunks Parquet Courts and Italian composer Daniele Luppi released their collaborative album MILANO, a video for the Karen O-featuring “Talisa” has appeared. Directed by Diego Aruajo, the vintage-looking clip focuses on a rather seedy photographer and two disgruntled models. There’s a scuffle at the end, with the models leaving the photographer lying on the photoshoot backdrop. The video suits the concept of MILANO, which pays homage to the misfits, fashionistas, outcasts and junkies in mid-1980s Milan. It was released in October 2017, before Parquet Courts’ great 2018 record Wide Awake!.
