It's the best kept secret about KEXP's New Home Grand Opening: Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings will be playing the Courtyard Stage at 3:00 PM! The latest from these Brooklyn-based soul sensations is appropriately titled Give the People What They Want, and that's just what they'll do tomorrow. This is a band that understands independent music: despite winning the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album in 2015, they remain steadfastly loyal to their label, Daptone Records, founded in 2002 by Dap-Kings bandmates Gabriel Roth and Neal Sugarman. We're thrilled to have them complete the line-up for our Grand Opening.
