Today is Veterans Day, or Armistice Day and Remembrance Day to our friends outside the United States. It's a public holiday that marks the anniversary of the end of World War I, which formally concluded on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. No matter if you're pro-military or not, it's a day to celebrate the service of all U.S. veterans for their bravery and contribution to our national security. Though most of the songs below express the sentiment that we wish we didn't have to go to war at all, we're thankful to all the brave men and women of the armed forces for heeding the call.
