Seattle band The Foghorns, describe themselves as "anti-folk," a sentiment that seems contradictory to the natural, bare-bones sound they often evoke. But a quick venture into their discography reveals a penchant for bluegrass, and a knack for recruiting a wide variety of instruments including everything from buckets to accordions. It's a sound that feels at home in the rainy weather of Seattle, yet ventures out side and challenges the local flavor of folk. It's music fitting to welcome in the new year, and their's no better place to start than song of the day "Ain't I A Man" from their 2015 album, The Sun's Gotta Shine. The song rumbles along to the twang of a steady guitar riff, accompanied by the occasional bumble of a bass clarinet and a humming harmonica.
