  • KEXP faves Parquet Courts share a new video today for the track "Pretty Machines," off the release Content Nausea from their side project "Parkay Quarts." (Still with us?) Guitarist Austin Brown takes to the streets in this clip co-directed by Johann Rashid (of the band East Link). Check out the misadventures below, and watch a recent in-studio from Parquet Courts (not Parkay Quarts) on the KEXP Blog here. [Pitchfork]

  • No surprise: Panda Bear (aka Noah Lennox) made late night weird on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The Animal Collective co-founder brought strobe lights and film loops to the stage as he performed the track "Boys Latin" from his latest Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper. Watch below, and stay on top of all the late night TV musical highlights with KEXP's TV Eye column. [Stereogum]

  • Earlier this week, Seattle's own Macklemore took a walk down Sesame Street to perform a kid-friendly parody of "Thrift Shop." No Ryan Lewis, but ably stepping in is none other than Oscar the Grouch. "This is gross and awesome!" [The Stranger]

  • Portland band Kind of Like Spitting were super-prolific in the early 2000s (including an excellent full-length on Barsuk), and then they called it a day in 2006. Well, excitingly enough, they've released new music today: stream the tracks "Stress Cadet" and "Bullied By A Bee" below. Both will appear on a split EP with Warren Franklin & The Founding Fathers titled It’s Always Nice to See You out February 3rd on Topshelf. Can some live shows be far behind? [Stereogum]
