  • Thanks to NPR, Interpol's entire album El Pintor is now available for streaming. This is the first release since Calos D. left and frontman Paul Banks took on his bassist duties. El Pintor will officially drop on September 9. Take a listen HERE. [Stereogum]
  • Even though garage rock duo King Khan & BBQ Show have been using the name for four years now, an actual BBQ joint in Berlin, named KING KHAN UND BBQ, has sued the twosome, requiring them to change their name to Bad News Boys. The band have shared a new track under the new moniker; stream the song "We Are The Champion" below. And catch the Bad News Boys on October 11th at The Crocodile. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Swedish duo JJ have shared a new video from their third album, V. For the clip for "Inner Light," director Ty Olsen shares a poetic explanation for the meaning of the video, concluding with "it's about the Inner Light in all of us/and we made it for you/we had to."   • Back in the early '90s, Miracle Legion frontman Mark Mulcahy composed music for the cult-favorite Nickelodeon TV series, The Adventures of Pete & Pete.   • The 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards aired last night and one of the night's most entertaining moments was thanks to "Weird Al" Yankovic. He added his special brand of "weirdness" to several hit television show's theme songs including: Mad Men, Scandal, and Game of Thrones. [CoS]
