  • No surprise, but the latest video from Washed Out can only be described as "dreamy." Take a break for seven-and-a-half minutes to watch the clip for "Weightless," off last year's Sub Pop release Paracosm. Director David Altobelli tells a lovely story of unrequited love that the compliments the ethereal electro-pop perfectly. [Pitchfork]

  • Rabble-rouser Jack White has also debuted a new video today for the title track of his Lazaretto album, out June 10th via Third Man/Columbia. The fast-paced clip was directed by French direction duo Jonas & François, also known for their work with another mouthy artist, Kanye West. Watch below: [Spin]

  • And for an intentionally funny video, check out the new clip from Guided By Voices featuring comedians Rob Corddry, Brian Huskey, and Rich Fulcher, as well as La Sera’s Katy Goodman. GBV is playing this Sunday, June 8th at the Showbox. [Stereogum]

  • Former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe has released his first piece of original music since the legendary band's 2011 break-up. Sadly, his distinctive vocals are missing from the three-minute instrumental piece, but I'm sure it fits perfectly in the soundtrack for the film, The Cold Lands, directed by Stipe's longtime friend and collaborator, Tom Gilroy. Read an extensive interview and hear the clip at Salon.com. [Salon]

  • Poliça bring their dark sound to Leslie Gore's '60s pop hit “You Don’t Own Me” as a bonus track for the upcoming reissue of last year's Shulamith, out June 10th on Mom+Pop. Stream it below: [Under the Radar]

  • And the iconic Robyn Hitchcock has also shared a cover today — hear his take on the 1984 Psychedelic Furs single “The Ghost In You” below. The track will be included in The Man Upstairs, a collection of covers and originals, out 8/26 on Yep Roc. [Stereogum]
