After a while, it's easy for a British indie pop band to fall into sense of safety and sameness, but Bombay Bicycle Club stay true to their name with their most adventurous and exotic album to date. The newly released So Long, See You Tomorrow channels singer and principle songwriter Jack Steadman's travels through Europe and South Asia, adding a blend of East Indian, Middle Eastern and other styles to their spirited and dance-friendly indie pop sound. In their own studio, the band adds layer upon layer of instrumentation, loops and effects, so to bring So Long to life, Bombay Bicycle Club filled the KEXP studio with enough band members and gear to spill out into our hallways.
