Pickathon, an innovative weekend music festival located in the aptly-titled Happy Valley, Oregon, will open on the 1st of August and run through the 3rd. Over the course of the weekend, you can see bands like X, Parquet Courts, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Courtney Barnett, Angel Olsen, Warpaint, Jonathan Richman, Mac DeMarco, and many others. Recently added to that list are more KEXP favorites, including The War On Drugs, Destroyer, Black Lillies, and Those Darlins. It goes without saying that these and many other bands are just a few of the reasons why you should travel out to the Portland area this summer.
In today's video premiere, we present another KEXP favorite from last year, Ty Segall, performing "Crazy" live at Pickathon on the picturesque Woods Stage, an intimate venue which appears strikingly similar to a giant bird's nest. It's a great performance by Segall, and just a hint of what's to come at this year's Pickathon. You can still get tickets here!
