"I'm just going to test out the sampler." That's what Chaos Chaos drummer Chloe Saavedra says right before she fills the room with a loud piercing tone. ("That's why I always wear earplugs around Chloe," remarks her sister and bandmate Asy Saavedra.) Fortunately for John Richards, the crew, and anyone tuned in, the next 18 minutes of electronic indie pop were significantly more harmonious. Despite only having two members, Chaos Chaos are more than capable of reproducing a cohesive pop sound, with Asy's textured keyboards and Chloe's agile drumming competing for the forefront of each of the four songs (three originals and a cover of their former tourmates Tegan and Sara's "Closer") they performed. Watch the full performance from December 2012 below, and unless you need what Chloe refers to as "an extra jolt", be sure to keep your volume down near the beginning of the session!
