Today's Song of the Day, as chosen by DJ Sharlese, host of Mechanical Breakdown and rotating host for Expansions, in honor of World Goth Day Extended, is "Victim" by Nox Novacula, from the 2021 album Ascension on Manic Depression.
This week's Song of the Day were selected by KEXP DJ Sharlese, in honor of World Goth Day Extended. On Tuesday, August 17th, KEXP will celebrate the darker side of summer as DJ’s play goth favorites, old and new, from around the world, all day from 7 AM to 7 PM PT.
Seattle's Nox Novacula has brought a goth presence to the local music scene since 2017. On their debut full-length, Ascension, they combine electronic and post-punk sounds into a genre they call "Death Rock."
