Named for the band's own anthemic cry, Arre! Arre! are a punk rock quartet from Malmö, Sweden. On their first new album since 2015, the band carries the mantle from groups like Bikini Kill and Bratmobile, continuing to address matters of feminism, bigotry, body image, gender identity, and more. Today's Song of the Day truly encapsulates the statement "His-Story Moves in Circles": against a 1960's Phil-Spector-esque backbeat, with '90s-era riot-grrrl-inspired vocals, the band laments how some things haven't changed in 2019, singing "One step forward / Two steps back / I lost the count / I can't keep track."

Their celebrated 2015 debut LP A.T.T.A.C.K! earned them a "Rock Album of the Year" nomination in the Swedish P3 Guld awards, and was released in the states in 2018 via PNKSLM Records. Download today's featured track, and check out a clip for the new album's title track, "Tell Me All About Them."
