Jófríður Ákadóttir — known musically as JFDR — shares a first listen of her forthcoming sophomore album due out early next year. Stream the single “Taking A Part Of Me” below. Ákadóttir described the new song in a press release:
This song is about turning the misery to its flip side, the negative space, the desired destination, the contrast, moon to sun, low to high, soft to hard, interior to exterior, passive to active, valley to hill, still water to mountain, sleep to wake.
Ákadóttir released Brazil, her debut album as JFDR, in 2017; last year, she shared the limited edition Gravity EP, a collaboration with Icelandic chocolate company Omnom.
