Irish post-punk quartet Slow Riot infuse post-punk influences — Gang of Four, Television, Wire — with more contemporary bands such as Girl Band and Future of the Left. Made up of Niall Clancy (bass, vocals), Aaron Duff (guitars), Liam O'Connor (guitars) and Paul Cosgrave (drums), the band is on the verge of releasing their debut album. Our song of the day, "Burn in the City," is a split release with the song "Voyeur" and is a brooding slow burner with Clancy's vocals reminiscing a touch of Arctic Monkeys. The Limerick-based group released their debut EP Cathedral in the summer of 2015 and, since then, the band has been hotly tipped by tastemakers both in Ireland and the UK. The band recently returned from their first UK tour.
