Algerian Tuareg desert rockers Imarhan released their sophomore album Temet earlier this year via City Slang. Our song of the day is “Ehad Wa Dagh,” a blistering dance jam and early single. The video for the track, directed by Visions Particulières, was shot in a Parisian club and features images from the band’s Saharan home. Imarhan, meaning ‘the ones I care about’, started out around 2008 as a loose collection of friends who began to play together. They didn’t release their eponymous debut album until 2016, Imarhan, also released through the German label City Slang. The band is on tour in the US now and playing a show in Austin, TX at Cheer Up Charlies on Friday, April 27.
