Costa Rican songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Jorge Elbrecht may be more known for his projects Lansing Dreiden and Violens or his work with Ariel Pink, Frankie Rose, and Caroline Polachek but recently he released his long-awaited solo concept album Here Lies. The story behind the album is elaborate and strange, with different subcategories to the album, including "Presentable Corpse," "Coral Cross," "REMYNYS," and "Gloss Coma," which each showcase a different style from Elbrecht. The album trailer helps explain (somewhat) the concept behind the album. Our SOTD is the title track and song from the "Gloss Coma" category. It's one of two songs on the album that features vocals from New Zealand singer Tamaryn. Here Lies is out now and self-released. - Jasmine Albertson
