Midnight in a Perfect World: Longstocking

Seattle-based DJ, producer, vocalist, and label runner Denni Longstocking Kindred has emerged as an integral force within Seattle's electronic music community since unveiling her debut release in 2020. Over the past three years, Longstocking has released EPs, albums, and remix collections that have skyrocketed to the top of the Beatport charts, and also launched their own label, Feral One Records, to serve as a homebase for their own music and other emerging underground acts. As a Chicanx, Non-Binary, Transfemme Queer, Longstocking is a fervent supporter of the LGBTQBIPOC community and driven by a desire to see dance music return to its cultural roots.

With the focus of her mix revolving around Seattle's independent dance scene, Longstocking's exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World places a spotlight on local talent with a seamless run through infectious house and party-starting tech-house rhythms by local artists, with many coming from artists on her imprint.

Midnight in a Perfect World, KEXP's weekly hour-long guest DJ show, airs Fridays at midnight. This multi-genre program features eclectic sets by a rotating cast of international and local DJ's, each building upon a party vibe to kick off your weekend. Midnight in a Perfect World  is made possible with support from New Belgium Brewing.
