Following up another incredible Freakout Fest this past November, our tireless friends at Freakout Records have announced a two-day fest with a stacked lineup that you wouldn’t believe. Partnering with The Crocodile, the Freakout Weekender will take place April 1st and 2nd at the new Crocodile and Belltown Yacht Club, with a total of four stages of programming featuring over 40 artists from around the globe for a multicultural experience.

Just a few of the headliners include the Brooklyn-based afrobeat band Antibalas, Canadian underground pop star Austra, rising rap duo Armand Hammer, Austin singer-songwriter Molly Burch, and Danish indie rockers Efterklang. The local love is shown with a soul set from Shaina Shepherd, the raucous rock of Beverly Crusher, and Seattle/Mexico supergroup Mala Suerte.

Continuing their long-standing relationship with Mexican and South American artists, Freakout is, of course, bringing some of the most exciting names in Latin music right now. Shoegazers Mint Field, post-rockers Margarita Podridas, synthpop duo Peliculas Geniales, and psychedelic rockers Lorelle Meets the Obsolete will be there to represent Mexico while Atalhos and Isla De Caras will be bringing their dreamy sounds all the way from Brazil and Argentina, respectively.

Freakout co-owner Guy Keltner had this to say about the Freakout Weekender: “With so much uncertainty on the horizon, you can always count on Freakout to expand your minds, open your hearts, and deliver the best damn rock & roll shows in the U.S. of A.”
