German electronic musician Ellen Allien has been an integral force within the underground electronic and club communities for nearly 30 years. A highly revered DJ and curator who's early DJ career in the 1990s included residencies at renowned Berlin nightclubs such as Bunker, Tresor, and E-Werk, she's become a trusted force behind the turntables with residencies at premier clubs all over the world. In 1999, she founded BPitch Control, a legendary record label that provided a home for her own music as well as helping launch the careers of artists such as Modeselektor and Apparat. Still going strong today, she launched a new label UFO Inc. in early 2019 and recently unveiled her latest album AurAA as she continues to cement her legacy as one of the most iconic and influential figures in 21st century techno.
Her guest DJ mix for Midnight In A Perfect World is a visceral sonic journey through exquisite cerebral underground techno rhythms with a playful sprinkling of ghetto house jams.
