Portland synth-pop group Chromatics are tentatively releasing their long-awaited album Dear Tommy at some point...maybe...possibly. Who knows?! In the meantime, they’ve been rolling out a number of singles and are currently on a North American tour.

Today, they’ve shared a cover of grunge rockers Hole’s “Petals.” The Celebrity Skin track is transformed into a spacey shimmering slinker with Ruth Radelet turning Courtney Love's husky growls into sensuous coos. The cover appears on the new Netflix film The Perfection, starring Allison Williams and Logan Browning.

"Petals" follows the recent single “Time Rider” and last year’s “Blue Girl” and “Black Walls.” Their last full-length offering was 2012’s Kill For Love. The band will make a stop in Seattle on Friday, June 7 to play the Showbox. Below, listen to “Petals.”
