The 10-time Oscar-nominated film Roma is receiving an album of songs inspired by the film featuring contributions from artists like El-P, Ibeyi, Patti Smith, Laura Marling, and DJ Shadow. Today sees the release of a song from the compilation by Beck, enlisting backup vocal help from Feist to cover Colourbox’s 1982 song “Tarantula.” The lush cover sounds like it could have easily fit on Beck’s latest record, 2017’s Colors, swapping the electronic components of the original for orchestral strings and piano.

Roma was directed by Alfonso Cuarón, whose previous directing credits include Gravity, Children of Men, and Y Tu Mamá También. This week, it was nominated for 10 Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Foreign Film. Billie Eilish’s “When I Was Older” was released earlier this month as the compilation’s lead single.

Below, listen to “Tarantula” as well as Beck’s 2017 KEXP interview with DJ Morgan following the release of Colors.
