Today, we celebrate what would've been the 90th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., one of history's greatest voices of liberty. King's contributions to civil rights have inspired millions, including many musicians who've paid tribute to him in song. Below, we've collected some of those odes that help King's message live on for generations. Songs that remind us that the fight for equality under the law, for all, is not over yet.

Today would also be a great day to revisit MLK and the Songs Of Freedom, three hours of a "soundtrack of a Movement" on The Roadhouse on KEXP. Read more about the show here, and listen via the Two-Week Streaming Archive.
