Irish singer-songwriter Bridie Monds-Watson has announced her sophomore record under the name SOAK, Grim Town. Due for release on April 26 via Rough Trade Records, the album follows 2015’s Mercury-nominated debut Before We Forgot How To Dream.
Monds-Watson describes the forthcoming album as “a dystopia that I’ve created in my brain: me on the inside, processed into a pretend location,” she explains. “The way I could wrap my head around a lot of what I was going through was to make it feel like something quite physical and real. Along with the album announcement, Monds-Watson has shared the single “Knock Me Off My Feet” via a NASCAR race-set video directed by Jak Payne. In October, she shared the single “Everybody Loves You.”
