Phosphorescent, Matthew Houck’s musical project, has announced his first album in five years, titled C’est La Vie, due for release on October 5 via Dead Oceans. The album’s lead single, “New Birth In New England,” has been shared. C’est La Vie comes after a series of life changes for Houck, including falling in love, having children, and moving to Nashville. The last Phosphorescent album was 2013’s Muchacho. A run of tour dates have also been announced, including a stop in Seattle on Wednesday, November 21 at the Neptune Theatre.
