Fleet Foxes have released their first video off of Crack-Up, coming out June 16 on Nonesuch. The video is for the single "Fool's Errand" and was directed by frontman Robin Pecknold's brother Sean Pecknold. Crack-Up will be their first album since 2011's Helplessness Blues and will be featuring a slightly different lineup (no Josh Tillman unfortunately). The current Fleet Foxes lineup is Robin Pecknold (vocals, multi-instrumentalist), Skyler Skjelset (multi-instrumentalist, vocals), Casey Wescott (multi-instrumentalist, vocals), Christian Wargo (multi-instrumentalist, vocals), and Morgan Henderson (multi-instrumentalist). Fleet Foxes perform next week, Friday, May 19th, at Showbox at the Market, and return in September for two nights at The Paramount Theatre, Thursday, September 14th and Friday, September 15th. Seattle's own Melvins are on the verge of releasing their first-ever double album titled A Walk with Love and Death: one LP being a proper album (Death), and the other being a film score they wrote for a short film from Jesse Nieminen (Love). Get a taste with the first single below, "Christ Hammer." Frontman Buzz Osborne says, "The name alone says it all." A Walk with Love and Death hits stores on July 7th via Ipecac Recordings, and the guys play Thursday, July 13th at The Showbox with Eagles of Death Metal. [ Consequence of Sound ]

Los Angeles-based duo Girlpool release a new album today via Anti Records: Powerplant is their follow up to 2015's fantastic Before The World Was Big and was self-produced by the duo. Their growth on the new release is apparent and this is their first time using drums which is a big step for the notoriously guitar-centric group. Girlpool play Friday, May 26th at Neumos. Psych rock group Cloud Control have given us a brand new video for the single "Rainbow City", the first release since 2013's Dream Cave. The video is directed by Imogen Grist and features the members of Cloud Control dancing and contorting themselves against a technicolor backdrop. No word on whether a new album will be forthcoming.
