Following Friday's tease, alt-J have shared the single "3WW" in its entirety. Listen below. And looks like you really can't hide on the internet: the rumored album title that fans tracked down via a Japanese iTunes listing is mostly correct. The album is titled Relaxer and is scheduled for a June 2nd release via Canvasback. [ Consequence of Sound ]

Back in 1996, Kool Keith and Dan the Automator teamed up under the name Dr. Octagon. In early May via the label Get On Down, they'll be reissuing their debut album Dr. Octagonecologyst in a fancy 3-LP 28-track set, in an octagon-shaped box, natch. In a press release, Dan says, "Dr. Octagonecologyst is a classic record for what it is, but it’s not a classic hip-hop record. I’m not actually sure if it’s considered a hip-hop record at all. We had to do a lot just to get that record out there. That in itself was a bit of a monumental achievement. I mean, we made a record that, ostensibly, there was no market for. A lot of weird people came out of the woodwork and loved it." Keith adds "Other groups might have needed to be on drugs to attempt a record like Dr. Octagon, but I was eating potato chips when we made it. Yoo-Hoos and donuts. It was one big spaceship and everyone was riding. Me and Automator were Mr. Spock and Captain Kirk." [ Pitchfork ]

He may not live here anymore, but we'll always think of Mark Lanegan as a local artist. Today, he shares the new track "Beehive," which several people online have likened to the melodic-ness of his former band Screaming Trees. Listen below. The track will be out next month on the LP Gargoyle, which features guest appearances from frequent collaborators Greg Dulli and Josh Homme. The album hits the streets April 24th on Heavenly Recordings. [ Stereogum ]

Another guy who moved away but still has roots in Seattle is Father John Misty. Over the weekend, he stopped by Saturday Night Live in support of his forthcoming LP, Pure Comedy, out April 7th via Sub Pop. Watch him gyrate on national TV below to the tracks "Total Entertainment Forever" and "Pure Comedy" below. Father John Misty plays a hometown show on Wednesday, May 24th at the Paramount Theatre.
