Seattle's own Perfume Genius (real name: Mike Hadreas) has announced a new album and a new tour for 2017. The still-untitled LP will be his first since 2014’s Too Bright. He kicks it all off in magical Marfa, TX for the Marfa Myths Festival, in a special performance collaborating with Weyes Blood, and for the rest of the tour, he'll be joined by gospel artist serpentwithfeet. There's a mysterious hometown hole in his Northwest tour itinerary, so maybe he'll be turning up at one of our many excellent summer fests. Stay tuned. [ Spin ]

Welsh ensemble Los Campesinos! share the single "The Fall of Home," a glimpse at their sixth album Sick Scenes out February 24th via Wichita Recordings. Frontman Gareth Campesinos! elaborates in a statement: "This is an elegy to the home towns left behind. It’s about the villages too stifling to ever allow you or itself to flourish. About those who left to protect their mental health or to be the best version of themselves. To those who moved to the city and return ‘home’ for Christmas and funerals, feeling like a tourist. For the lonely people in rented house shares with no idea what they’re doing. And it’s for those who didn’t want to or couldn’t leave, and are still hanging in there." We'll be airing an exclusive in-studio session with Los Campesinos! on Monday, February 27th; the band play the Neptune Theatre on Monday, February 20th. [ Consequence of Sound ]

More local music news: Dude York are on the edge of releasing their new LP, Sincerely, their first for Hardly Art Records and their second in total. Today, for the holiday, they share the track "Love Is." The album release party is Thursday, February 23rd at Chop Suey with Lisa Prank, and the actual street date is the next day, Friday, February 24th. [ Stereogum ]

For a song titled "Cute," you've gotta deliver, and that's just what Virginia-based rapper D.R.A.M. does in this clip. Watch as an adorable muppet version of D.R.A.M. (real name: Shelley Marshaun Massenburg-Smith, w/ the acronym standing for Does. Real. Ass. Music.) goes on a series of dates before finding his perfect match. It's one of the strongest likenesses we've seen since the DJ Riz puppet from the Seattle Public Library.
