This Saturday, August 13th, The Vera Project & Friends of Waterfront Seattle present Vera at the Waterfront: a much needed, free, all-ages excuse to pretend the summer's end isn't rapidly approaching. Complete with a stacked lineup of local musicians and art installation provided by Vera's screenprint collective, Vera at the Waterfront will take place from 3PM to 8PM at Waterfront Park (between the Seattle Aquarium and the Great Wheel). Opening the show will be the so talented one-woman choir Briana Marela, followed by usually nocturnal electronic throbbings of Nightspace and Youryoungbody, both dynamic, interesting live acts in their own right. The rock portion of the night will kick off in style at 5:30 with CHARMS, followed by Seattle guitar heroes Wild Powwers. Headlining the event is the always spirited Wild Powwers, which should be the perfect antidote to the end-of-night realization that the summer is, in fact, almost over.

Here's some videos of the artists performing live, many of them live sessions from KEXP's local music program Audioasis (Sat, 6-9 PM):
