  • As far as I'm concerned, it's the most important music news of the day: Iggy Pop has started an Instagram account for his pet cockatoo, Biggy Pop! Watch Biggy give Iggy a "Flintstone shave," watch them chillin' on the couch listening to Iggy's 1993 single "Wild America," and (below) watch them dance together to the track "In The Lobby" off his new album, Post Pop Depression. What a beautiful friendship! Follow them on Instagram at @biggypop, or watch all the videos here. And, thank you, Mr. Pop, for sharing this joy with the internet. [Pitchfork]

  • Ethereal electronic artist Julianna Barwick is poised to release her fifth studio album, Will, May 6th on Dead Oceans. Today, she shares the single "Same" featuring Canada's Thomas Arsenault, aka Mas Ysa. Barwick explains via a press release, "Mas Ysa's Seraph was by far my favorite record of last year. So, imagine my delight when Tom agreed to lend some vocals to a couple songs on my new record Will. I was wrapping up the record in beautiful Lisbon when he sent them along, and they made this track 'Same' complete. Now, we'll be playing several shows together this year and I can't wait!" Listen to the stunning track below. Julianna brings the beauty to Seattle on Tuesday, May 10th for a show at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center. [Under the Radar]

  • So much for nice weather: you'll wanna stay indoors to binge-watch the latest series from Hulu, Citizen, which will feature none other than Tom Waits as a priest named Cesar, described as "a walking anachronism of virtue and vice," who "runs a guerilla humanitarian outfit with questionable legality from his church in Boyle Heights." The series will be directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, who previously directed SIFF favorite Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. We can't seem to find a release date online, so if anyone knows, leave a comment below so we can cancel any plans that night. [Consequence of Sound]

  • You guys, stop the eBay bidding: the long out-of-print Bonnie "Prince" Billy EP More Revery is being reissued by Temporary Residence Ltd. and released as a deluxe edition on May 6th. (Okay, you hardcore Will Oldham completists who want the original can keep bidding.) The release was recorded in 2000 after the I See A Darkness tour, and features an eclectic collection of covers -- from PJ Harvey to Bill Withers -- recorded only as Oldham could. Six live versions are added for the release. Hear his cover of Harvey's "Sweeter Than Anything" below. [Pitchfork]
