Song of the Day: Small Feet - All And Everyone

Every Monday through Friday, we deliver a different song as part of our Song of the Day podcast subscription. The last time Small Feet was featured on the KEXP blog, it was to premiere the video for the dark chilling track "Rivers". Today, we find the Scandinavian band sharing a very different sound. On album cut "All And Everyone", wild west whistling and a jangly acoustic guitar evoke an adventurous tone that twangy guitar riffs further emphasize. Band leader Simon Stålhamre's unique voice always seems to hold some sorrow in it, and in "All And Everyone" it creates a contrast with the light-spirited instrumentation that gives the catchy song an excellent balance. Small Feet are gaining momentum for the release of their debut album, From Far Enough Away Everything Sounds Like the Ocean, on August 7th through Barsuk, and if "All And Everyone" is any indication, it's one you're not going to want to miss.

Small Feet don't have any upcoming shows at the moment, though Stålhamre was just in Seattle performing live at KEXP last week. Look for video from his session to be posted here soon.
