Song of the Day: Jacco Gardner - Find Yourself

Jacco Gardner claims that fearing a loss of control played a big part in his 2015 album, Hypnophobia. But equally inspired by being on the road and the idea of a slightly scary lucid dream, Jacco Gardner seems to be in complete control of his music on his latest album. Every unique layer of sound from a range of diverse (often vintage) instruments plays an important role in his psychedelic baroque-pop. Jacco Gardner, who played every instrument on the record except for drums, has an equally compelling taste for writing hooks. The result is music made for daydreams and light spirited adventures, a mood especially present in the track "Find Yourself." Dancing sounds, an adventurous bass-line and Jacco's airy voice all intermingle for a sun bathed adventure. Even if introspective journeys aren't for you, at the very least it's a track you'll be sure to find yourself listening to again and again.
