  • Local faves Death Cab for Cutie share another track from their upcoming release, Kintsugi, their first new full-length without founding member Chris Walla. Stream the album's opening track "No Room In Frame" below. Kintsugi hits stores March 31st via Atlantic, and the boys play two nights at The Paramount, Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th. And frontman Ben Gibbard will curate a special DJ mix for KEXP's new show, Midnight in a Perfect World, airing this Friday, February 28th at midnight PST. [Spin]

  • As we mentioned last month, Calexico are set to return this Spring with their eighth album, Edge of the Sun. As if that's not exciting enough, today we have a track featuring Seattle's own Ben Bridwell. Stream the gorgeous song “Falling From The Sky” below, featuring the Band of Horses frontman on backing vocals. Edge of the Sun comes out April 14th via Anti-/City Slang. [Stereogum]

  • Get a first listen at the new album from reunited UK band Swervedriver. NPR Music is streaming their forthcoming release I Wasn't Born to Lose You at their site. It's the legendary shoegaze outfit's first new album since 1988. They'll be LIVE on KEXP on Sunday, March 8th at 2 PM, and playing later that night at Neumos. I Wasn't Born to Lose You comes out March 3rd via Cobraside. [NPR Music]

  • Alt-J continue to ride the success of their sophomore release, This Is All Yours. Today, they share a video for the track "Pusher," which tells the story of a manic field preacher, who makes a dramatic final move. Director Thomas Rhazi stated in a press release, "The hero does the most excessive act because he can’t do anything else – shaking up people’s minds in those dark and sad times."
