Beloved local trio The Cave Singers return early next year with their fifth full-length, Banshee, and today, KEXP presents a holiday treat: the album track "Christmas Night," which you can stream below.
Frontman Pete Quirk says of the single:
Something that found us one afternoon while we were dreaming. Found photos of an apocalyptic life, sitting in a banged up chair, fed up with bright eyed strangers walking their kayaks home. I escaped a broken life through a crack in the window. Easy to surrender, now a believer. I don’t know, I guess it's hard for fear to play you like a puppet, with love in your heart.
Banshee was recorded live in six days with producer Randall Dunn. The album hits stores on February 19th, 2016.
