  • Eagles of Death Metal have issued their first statement since last week's terrorist attack at their Bataclan show in Paris that claimed the lives of 89 people, including their merchandise manager Nick Alexander. Via social media, the band wrote: "While the band is now home safe, we are horrified and still trying to come to terms with what happened in France. Our thoughts are first and foremost with our brother, Nick Alexander, our record company comrades Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser, and Manu Perez, and all the friends and fan’s whose lives were taken in Paris, as well as their friends, families, and loved ones." The band have postponed all future shows until further notice, concluding the statement with, "Vive la musique, vive la liberté, vive la France, and vive EODM." Read below: [Spin]

  • UK band Wolf Alice have announced some North American tour dates, including the just-announced Saturday, December 12th appearance at KEXP's Yule Benefit Show at Neumos. To get a sneak peek of what's in store, the band created a video featuring footage from recent shows, spotlighting the single "Fluffy," the closing track off their acclaimed debut My Love Is Cool.   • Pinback's Rob Crow announced an anguished early retirement earlier this year, but has since turned his life around and will release a new album under the name Rob Crow’s Gloomy Place. Via Facebook, he states a home loan adjustment prevented his home’s foreclosure, he's stopped drinking, lost over 100 pounds, and his wife has landed her dream job. With things turning around, he's planning to release a new full-length titled You’re Doomed. Be Nice., out March 4th via Temporary Residence. Check out the first single, "Business Interrupts," below. He writes on Facebook, "My hope is that it will resonate with some and be found a comfort. If people buy it, I can make more. We will tour the states in March.   • Terrifically-tressed troubadour Kurt Vile recently filmed a La Blogothèque's Take Away Show, performing the b'lieve i'm going down track "Lost My Head There" from the Le Square Gardette restaurant in Paris.
