  • TV on the Radio announced their plan to release a sixth studio album titled Seeds,the first since 2011's Nine Types of Light. According to a press release, Tunde Adebimpe said this album is "1000%, without a doubt, the best thing we've ever done." Check out the Seeds preview below. [CMJ]

  • Last Tuesday, we shared "Blue Eyes," a song from The Rosebuds upcoming Sand + Silence, and today (like clockwork) we have another fresh album track. "Esse Quam Videri" really speaks to the North Carolina band's versatility. This number would be right at home on a Police record in the 80s. [Stereogum]

  • Run the Jewels, aka Killer Mike and El-P, are heading out on a North American tour to promote Run The Jewels 2. The LP doesn't have an official release date, but it's only a matter of time. El-P tweeted yesterday that "RTJ2 is one day away from being fully mixed." Their tour will bring them to Seattle's Showbox on August 9. They've also shared the new album track "Blockbuster Night Part 1". [Pitchfork]

  • U.K. electronic duo James Ford and Jas Shaw, better known as Simian Mobile Disco, will drop their fourth studio album Whorl on September 9. Today they've shared the dizzying, techno tune "Dervish." In an interview with Rolling Stone, they said this song is "the most dance-floor orientated, especially compared to some of the more ambient tracks on there." [CoS]
