  • iTunes Radio is now streaming Real Estate's brand new album Atlas a full week before its official release. This is the New Jersey outfit's first new collection in three years. Listen HERE. And don't forget: Real Estate will be the next band featured on KEXP's Live Video Stream on Thursday, March 6th at 1:00 PM PST. [Pitchfork]
  • The Faint have announced their first album in six years, Doom Abuse, which will be released on April 8. The Nebraska natives have also shared the video for "Head in the Head." It gives a creepy insight to what cats must feel like when they're tormented by laser pointers. Also, don't miss The Faint on May 30 when they perform at Neptune. [Pitchfork]

  • Cloud Nothings won't drop their new album, Here and Nowhere Else, until April 1, but in order to hold us over, they've shared their second album track. "Psychic Trauma" explodes into a guitar tour de force and only gets more intense as the song goes on. Check it out below. [Pitchfork]

  • Beloved Northwest festival Pickathon have announced their 2014 dates, so block out your calendar for August 1st through August 3rd. Passes go on sale Saturday, March 1st at 9:00 AM PST, and starting tomorrow, they'll begin to roll out the line-up on their website. While you wait, why not check out some videos KEXP filmed from previous Pickathons! [Pickathon]

  • Another excellent local festival, Timber! Outdoor Music Festival, have started ticket sales today for their 2014 festival, July 24-26, in Carnation, WA. The line-up includes Charles Bradley, J Mascis, Damien Jurado, Rocky Votolato, and more. [Timber]

  • Coldplay decided to pull their own Beyoncé and release a surprise new song/video "Midnight" at midnight, obviously. This definitely feels like a new sound for frontman Chris Martin and company. It'll be interesting to see what fans think of this dreamier, synth-heavy Coldplay. [CoS]
