New York duo Phantogram release their sophomore album, Voices, today, which KEXP Music Director Don Yates claims is a, "sleek set of moody electro-pop with a dark, atmospheric sound featuring buzzing synths, spiky guitars, hip hop-influenced beats, breathy vocals and catchy pop hooks." Another highlight for the week comes from Angel Olsen, former member of Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy’s band, whose second album, Burn Your Fire For No Witness, adds some electricity to her psych-folk-rock sound. (She'll be live on KEXP on Friday, March 7th.) Longtime indie-icons Guided By Voices released their twentieth album today, Motivational Jumpsuit, and you know that album #21 isn't far behind.Perfectly timed for the day after Presidents' Day, local band The Presidents of the United States of America have released their sixth album, Kudos to You. Davila 666 frontman AJ Davila shares his lo-fi glam debut, Terror Amor, and Brazilian Girls vocalist Sabina releases her debut today, too, titled Toujours. William Fitzsimmons shares a new album, Lions, which was produced by Seattle's own Chris Walla. And a band with the hard-to-Google name, No, say "yes" to their darkly brooding debut, out today on Arts & Crafts. (You can hear an exclusive in-studio from them on The Morning Show on KEXP on Monday, April 7th.) Check it all out below!
