  • Brooklyn punk group The So So Glos get in the Christmas spirit with an all-out cover of The Kinks' popular "Father Christmas." Pennsylvania's The Districts also shared their more somber version of the song today. The So So Glos' cover will be available for free on their website tomorrow. [CoS]
  • Watch The Arctic Monkeys play tennis in this short from South America as they wrapped up their AM tour last month. The video also includes a live performance of "R U Mine?" that demonstrates the group's on-stage appeal and rubs a little salt in the wound if you didn't catch them live this year. [Pitchfork]
  • Legends Of Country, the new project formed by Jof Owen from The Boy Least Likely To, offered this timely B-side to their new single, "It's A Long Way Back From A Dream", out December 28th. This song goes out to all those traveling for the holidays:

  • Sadly, Boston's Hooray for Earth announced their break up last month. We thought Racy would be the band's final release, but this week they shared one final track, "Lostsomething_2012." The song, recorded for Racy, gives fans one final farewell to the group. [Under the Radar]
