Sibling Rivalry – Secret Jesus (MP3)

Seattle indie rock band Sibling Rivalry may not be a household name yet, but they've produced material that some big name musicians would surely envy. They don't hide behind fancy mixes or crazy synthesizers. Their sound is simple, clean, and timeless. Formerly known as The Family Band, the talented six piece band has been making music together since 2010. Regardless of the band's relative youth, they're already known for being dynamic and entertaining live performers, which can be difficult for even the most experienced artists. Sibling Rivalry aren't signed to a label, yet, but that doesn't keep the group from churning out some amazing music for their growing fan base. Only Child is their first full length release and was financed with the help of fan donations.

Lead guitarist and vocalist, Jake Campbell, really allows his dreamy falsetto take center stage during "Secret Jesus." The vocals are amplified by dazzling guitar rifts and steady percussion that flow seamlessly together. This is one of those songs that has you feeling like you're stumbling upon a huge revelation. The finesse and depth of the lyrics make Sibling Rivalry seem wise beyond their years.

Sibling Rivalry doesn't have any shows lined up at the moment, but to keep up with future tour dates and music announcements check the band's Facebook and website. Watch them perform their song "Mae Mae's Soup Surprise" below.
