  • The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne recently partook in a "record store tour" where he sold some special tidbits from the band's earlier days. One of the amazing offerings was a Lips recording from 1983 called 2nd Cassette Demo, and you can listen to both sides of the tape below. It's an awesome glimpse back at the past and punk roots that have made this band such a success. [Stereogum]

  • Rap duo Killer Mike and El-P, a.k.a. Run The Jewels, dropped their first collaboration earlier this year and today we have a track that some fans might not have had the chance to hear. "Pew Pew Pew" will be released as a bonus track on their European deluxe edition of Run The Jewels, which will drop on January 13.

    • Talking Heads' fans are in for a sweet surprise on this fine Friday. A never-before-heard track has surfaced on the internet. It's from a 1976 television appearance and though it doesn't have an official name, the band refers to it as "Theme." Check it out below. [CoS]
