  • After 14 years together, San Fransisco band Thee Oh Sees have announced an "indefinite hiatus." They've been consistently turning out loads of fresh material over the last five years, but things recently got hectic when frontman John Dwyer decided to move from San Fan to Los Angeles. Their manager Annie Southworth stated, "Will be a little hard to continue with all the different locales so who know what is going to happen...Cross fingers, we all are (sure) that it’s not completely over.” Let's hope this break is just a tiny blip on the radar.   • In order to turn up the heat on her record label rapper Angel Haze released her album, Dirty Gold, online three months before it's approved date. Unsurprisingly, the label quickly took it down, but now we have a solid 13 minute album sample to savor. Her little stunt worked out in her favor, the album's drop date has been moved up to December 30. [Stereogum]

  • Back in November, Atoms for Peace performed live at Studio Coast in Tokyo, and MTV Japan has released the live footage. It's a longer, funkier version of "Before Your Very Eyes" that will definitely hypnotize fans. [Pitchfork]
