  • Kurt Vile's latest full-length Wakin on a Pretty Daze is already slated for a deluxe edition, Deluxe Daze (Post Haze), out November 19th on Matador. That's a lotta daze. This version comes packaged with a new EP, it's a big world out there (and i am scared), featuring new versions of album tracks, plus a couple unreleased songs, like the one you can download free at Spin.com, "Feel My Pain." [Spin]
  • The biggest buzz of CMJ was this new band called The Reflektors -- okay, fine, it was Arcade Fire, playing incognito in a Brooklyn warehouse. If you can't wait for October 29th to hear new songs from their Merge Records release, watch video from their secret shows at Stereogum.

  • Not enough Arcade Fire for you? Well, you can also stream a new song below, "Afterlife." Still not enough Arcade Fire? They'll also be the musical guest on "The Colbert Report" tonight: [Pitchfork]

  • Who went to the Kanye West tour kick-off in Seattle? Well, if you were waiting to see him in Vancouver tonight, we're afraid it's been announced, you'll have to wait until October 31st. (Halloween with Yeezus? That doesn't sound all that bad.) It's unconfirmed, but word has it, an equipment truck was stolen last night. Way to roll out the welcome carpet, Emerald City: [Consequence of Sound]

  • Jim James, bearded frontman of My Morning Jacket, recently hit up fans and filmmakers to contribute concepts for the music video for "State of the Art (A.E.I.O.U.)," a track from his solo debut album, Regions of Light and Sound of God. Watch the winning concept below, from Bay Area production group Clean White Lines: [Billboard]
