Taking his recording name from a "mad Russian jet fighter", FVLCRVM soars with the infectious single "Words." This DJ/producer from Bratislava, Slovakia got his start in music playing jazz and funk guitar in the church band. As a teenager, he became interested in synths, eventually forming the math rock band NVMERI with some of his friends from church. With FVLCRVM, he combines his origins in gospel music with his love of electronica, and with today's featured track, he crafts a unique sound somewhere between house and Krautrock, ping-pong'ing his Albarn-esque vocals on top.
A new EP is scheduled to be released some time this year.
