Manchester, UK's Juliper Sky have a sound that harkens back to the '90s shoegaze scene. Soaring synth-lines support atmospheric guitars as frontman Jamie Lambert sings of shangri-la. In an interview with Music Is My Radar, guitarist Dan Parker describes the song:
The lyrics seek to explore themes of escapism, unity and forgotten dreams whilst aiming to evoke a more reflective and introspective side of the listener. Jamie wanted a song which captured his more introspective nature, he knows the difficulties that life can bring and wanted to create a song in which he and other people could listen to and escape into. Sonically it reflects the lyrics with huge walls of shimmering synths and guitars throughout the chorus and outro, whilst the verses are mellow and subdued.
Today's featured track was produced by James Kenosha (Rhodes, Dry The River, Dinosaur Pile Up) and recorded at Vibe studios. Watch the video below, produced by Jamie himself.
