Australian rocker Alex Lahey has returned with her sophomore album The Best Of Luck Club, a follow-up to her 2017 debut I Love You Like a Brother. For the latest release, the Melbourne-native relocated to Nashville and became inspired by the southern city's nightlife.
“The Best Of Luck Club was written during a 12 month period that saw me experience the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in my life thus far,” Lahey told Billboard Magazine. “For me, The Best Of Luck Club is a home for all these stories, which are things we've all experienced. No matter what kind of day you've had, anyone can come into the Club, take a seat, tell their story and be met with empathy and the response of ‘best of luck.’”
Today's Song of the Day in particular was "a message for someone I love,” she told Billboard, “telling them that it doesn't matter how capable or strong or resilient they are, we all have bad days and that's OK.”
