Back in 2017, Wolf Parade ended a five-year hiatus with the release of their fourth album Cry Cry Cry. Thankfully, we won't have to wait as long for the follow-up which lands on January 24th via Sub Pop. Get your first taste of the LP Thin Mind with today's Song of the Day.
“Against the Day” is particularly remarkable, because, for the first time ever, co-frontmen Dan Boeckner and Spencer Krug split vocals on the track.
“Dan told me it was about two vampires exploring the human world,” Spencer said via a press release, adding that he assumed the role of one vampire in his verses.
“I wanted to tell a story about Lovecraftian, geological love passing in a place,” Dan continued. “And two souls that were connected to each other. Every era that they go through, they are always on the outside of culture, always outsiders.”
