When punk-pop quartet State Lines went on hiatus five years ago, vocalist/guitarist/drummer Jonathan DiMitri adopted the pen name of "Jade Lilitri" for his new project oso oso. On their third LP basking in the glow, Lilitri makes a dramatic turn from his days with State Lines, opting for a slower sound.

"It wasn’t an intentional thing," he told New Noise Magazine, "but I wouldn’t mind suggesting that perhaps it has to do with me getting older and more chilled out and melodramatic as a person! [Laughs]"

The new release also marks a change in inspiration. As he told Billboard Magazine, "This was one of the first times I was just writing, not trying to pull from other works — books and fiction — which I usually do a lot. I [used to] make up characters and stuff like that. This feels like a very present commentary on my life."
