With Corridor, Sub Pop Records have signed their first Francophone act in their 30+ year-long history. The Montreal-based group have released three albums in total, but their latest, Junior, is their first for the legendary local label.

Co-frontmen Dominic Berthiaume (vocals/bass) and Jonathan Robert (vocals/guitar/synths) have been playing music together since they were 14-years-old, and with the addition of Julian Perreault (guitar) and Julien Bakvis (drums), they made a vow to release a new album every two years. In order to keep to their self-imposed deadline, they had to hustle to complete the new LP. Six of the tracks were created in a single weekend. “Part of the beauty of the thing is that we didn’t have time to think about it,” says Berthiaume.

Junior is in stores now, and the band will do a west coast tour in December, including a December 10th stop at Barboza.
