This week, Toro Y Moi (aka the artist currently known as Chaz Bear) is releasing his latest album Outer Peace. Our Song of the Day is the recent single “Ordinary Pleasure,” which is led by a funky bassline. Bear previously described the album as, “a response to how disposable culture has become and how it affects creativity.” He went on to say, “While listening, you might pay attention or ignore — either way that’s ok, this is music for a creative mind.”

Outer Peace follows 2017’s Boo Boo. Today, Toro Y Moi kicks off a tour behind the new record which will find him in Seattle for two nights this weekend, Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20. Both dates will be at the Neptune (the Jan. 19 date is sold out).
